Privacy Policy
Template for a small independent game with email and Google sign-in, cloud saves and a leaderboard. Fill in every highlighted placeholder and check it against what the Game actually does before launch.
RESSAC is made by [OWNER: your legal name or business name] ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect when you visit playressac.com or play the Game, and what we do with it. Short version: we collect as little as we can, we don't sell your data, and there are no ads in the Game.
What we collect
- On your device: your progress (career, settings, unlocks) is also saved in your browser's local storage.
- Your account (Google or a RESSAC account, needed to play): your email address, a user ID, and, if you use Google, the basic profile info Google shares (name and profile picture). We use this only to log you in, and to send account emails you ask for: the confirm-your-email link and password resets (from noreply@playressac.com). No newsletters, no marketing email.
- Cloud saves: your Game progress, so it can follow you between devices.
- Leaderboards: your display name, chosen rider, scores and season rank points. These are public.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. We receive confirmation that you bought the Game, not your card details.
- Technical data: our hosting providers (Cloudflare for the website, Supabase for accounts and data) process IP addresses and basic request logs to deliver and protect the service. [OWNER: add analytics here if you add any]
What we don't do
- No selling or renting your personal data.
- No ads and no ad tracking in the Game.
- No in-game chat.
How we use it
To run the Game: sign you in, save and restore your progress, show leaderboards, process your purchase, fix bugs, stop cheating, and reply when you contact us.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that run the Game for us: Supabase (authentication and database), Resend (delivers the account emails), Google (if you choose Google sign-in), Cloudflare (website hosting) and Stripe (payments). They process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
Children
Accounts are for players 13 and older. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email us and we'll delete it.
How long we keep it
We keep account data while your account is active. Delete your account, or ask us to, and we'll remove your personal data and leaderboard entries within 30 days, except where we must keep records (for example, purchase records for tax).
Your choices and rights
You can sign out at any time, change your display name in the Game, and ask us to access, correct or delete your data by emailing support@playressac.com. Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU/UK), you may have extra rights, and we'll honour them.
Security
Data is sent over HTTPS and stored with our providers using access controls. No system is perfect, so please use a strong password if you make a RESSAC account.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date above, and tell you on the site if the change is significant.
